Greenbelt Fertilisers in Southern Africa has implemented the AGRIS agri-business software for their grain and fertilizer operations in Africa. Business information from plants in Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique and Tanzania is transported daily to the group’s head office in Lusaka. AGRIS software supports not only their business accounting information but also stores customer soil test data used to optimize crop nutrient requirements and fertilizer product blending.

GBF is a 100% subsidiary of CHC Commodities Ltd. It was incorporated in 2004 as a fertiliser blending and marketing company, offering agronomic services to farmers to determine accurate crop and soil specific fertiliser requirements for the commercial farming sector in particular. Greenbelt imports raw materials from around the world, blends these materials to meet client farmer’s specific soil and crop requirements to help them maximise yield and minimize costs in their farming operations.

Greenbelt Fertilisers chose AfriSoft to implement the system because of their extensive Agribusiness experience and because they are the African and Australasian (southern hemisphere) experts in the implementation and use of AGRIS software.
